Bu Jin Design Closing

Postby Paula » Wed Mar 03, 2010 3:53 pm

This news comes with little warning, and for that we apologize. Bu Jin® Design's belt-tightening recession measures just haven't been able to ward off an unhappy turn of events. With little more to squeeze, and facing the end of our lease at the end of this month, we have had to do a lot of pencil chewing.

The conclusion is - Bu Jin® Design either needs a new owner with a ready-reserve or it needs to close. So if you or anyone you know is interested in owning a venerable old martial arts manufacturing company, please contact us immediately at opportunity@bujindesign.com.

In the meantime: What to expect in March

* All orders submitted prior to this notice, will be completed and shipped normally. Please do not call or email to check on your order, so that we can focus on the many tasks at hand; rest assured - your order will be fulfilled.
* Starting March 1, we are taking orders only for items currently in-stock. Unfortunately we will not be able to make any custom adjustments to the items and they will be sold as-is.

To that end, the website will soon post listings of all in-stock items available for sale and their prices. These will be updated frequently.

* You will receive updates as needed during the month.

For over thirty years, the Bu Jin® Design team has been proud to sew your dogi, hakama and weapons cases. It is impossible to fully express the depth of our appreciation for your loyal support over the years. We hope you know how much it has meant to us. This is also true for the many contributors of articles and reviews, who graciously provided valuable content for our newsletters and extensive archives.

As one door closes another opens. We have to believe this for the employees of Bu Jin® Design, who now may need to look for new jobs and new opportunities. This is one of the most regrettable results of the situation. Please send them your positive energy.

Bu Jin® Design will continue to maintain an active business license and trademark, hoping at some time in the future to offer selected aikido DVDs through a Bu Jin® Design website. We also hope to maintain our archives of articles, features and seminar reviews, as well.

(Another sad casualty of the economy but there will be some good deals. Or if anyone has investment capital... :))
